Weekly summary 18/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 18th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The situation in general. Ripple effects from severed supply chains, lack of workers caused by lockdowns and shortage of raw materials become visible in all areas of everyday life and industrial production. Price increases have reached 1.5-2.0% per month, so inflation has become most obvious. Reported injuries and deaths from or with the Corona injections climb up with frightening pace.

Though, with 54 studies including 27 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. These are clear indications that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. International transit times for doll shipments require a lot of patience. Several shipments to Europe are traveling since March. Shipping to destinations in North America is a lot faster and UPS carries more doll shipments.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• SE Doll ›Lisa‹ head (= SE no. 047) - TPE
• WM Dolls no. 019 silicone head (= WMS no. 019) - silicone
• Zelex A042 head - TPE
• Zelex G046 head - silicone

Also, two new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Irontech IT-164/F body style - TPE / ~164 cm / ~41 kg
• New arrivals: Zelex ZE-170/C body style - silicone / ~170 cm / ~42 kg

One new head variant of existing heads were introduced:

• SE Doll ›Caroline‹ head aka ›Jenny‹ (= SE no. 088) - TPE

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
